My Profile
I am a first year nursing student currently studying Bachelor of Nursing, Western Sydney University. I am friendly, easy to approach and build rapport quickly with patients and colleagues at my workplaces, as I am respectful of other’s culture as well as being an active listener.
Previously I had completed a Diploma in Modern Medicine in Vietnam prior to coming to Australia. I am currently working, with over 4 years of experience, as assistant nurse at various care facilities in the community. In recognition of my organisation skills and communication ability, I was put on training to lead teams of carers and assist nurses at all my workplaces.
Upon completing my degree, I plan to gain practical experience working as a registered nurse in aged care facilities, with the intention of practising therapeutic nursing in a safe, responsive and appropriate manner in accordance with the Registered Nursing Standards of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA, 2016). I will also engage in continuous professional development in collaboration with my workplace to complete the Master of Health Administration and achieve my long term career goal as nursing unit manager (NUM) in community healthcare.
